I don’t know what my number was– didn’t care as I had an AFROTC scholarship my senior year. Served 5 yrs in the Air Force, on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Marin County, CA, and Washington, DC. My AF experience in electronics and intelligence/security probably helped as much as my UW diploma in getting "civilian" employment. I was fortunate to have parallel successful careers with the US Information Agency/Voice of America/State Department, and as an Air Force Reserve Officer. I did get "recalled" at over 50 years of age and deployed to Korea– we actually had two Badger alums commanding squadrons at Osan Air Base in 2000. I’m retired from both government employers, now, and wouldn’t change a thing if I could do it all over.
