The number 256 has been very much a part of me since it was drawn for March 23 in the 1969 lottery. I was very much opposed to the war and I was seriously considering going to Canada if I was going to be drafted. Needless to say I was very lucky and life carried on as usual at UK.
Whenever I am called upon to formally introduce myself I always mention No. 256 and how my luck in drawing it had the greates influence on the course of my life.
